JazakAllah! This article truely does ring a bell and makes us realize how tied up we are to such networks that being a part of them feels like almost a neccessity. We hardly think to ourselves that WHY do we need to be a part of them? It makes no difference if people know what I am upto and see pictures of my so called "happening" life.........however the way we have been tuned we just HAVE to do so........

I had left Facebook for a while last year mainly because I knew I was getting addicted to it firstly and secondly....and most importantly.....for some weird reason I was comparing my life with others. I was constantly judging myself whether my status updates, or my pictures, or my life was upto the mark. If it was as interesting as my friends. Hence instead of getting into that constant battle with my mind I chose to stay off the network for a while. It really helped.

And now after what all has happened in the past week, I have finally resolved to myself that no more social networking on my part. I mean people did survive before these things came into being and so will I. Alhamdulillah!
