Al-Fiqh Al-Islami - According to the Hanafi Madhhab
Volume 1 - Rites of Purification, Prayers and Funerals
Written by Shaykh Mohammad Akram Nadwi, Al-Fiqh Al-Islami is an original masterly composition of the Fiqh (codified legal rulings) of Imam Abu Hanifah and his school of thought. Most importantly, current day issues have also been incorporated to make this book the first authentic, relevant and practical Hanafi work in the English language.
“This book is sound in fiqh and reflects the thorough and accurate knowledge of its author. From my experience in the field of fiqh, I would judge that this book will have tremendous value for its users. May Allàh make this book of benefit to all who turn to it”.
Dr. Hussam Al-Dean Farfour

Certain Islamic Laws are meant exclusively for women. Some women are ignorant of these laws while some, due to their modesty ans shyness are prevented from asking others about these laws. Unfortunately, men also pay very little attention to such laws. For this reason, the author had compiled all these laws in the form of a booklet under seperate headings. It was originally written in Urdu and has now been translated into English.
Laws regarding Puberty, Menstruation, Nifas (Post-Birth bleeding,) Istihaadhah (Bleeding due to some illness), and Janaabat (Impurity due to sexual intercourse, Menstruating etc) are discussed.

Al-Hidayah - The Guidance Volume 2
SKU: SKU1686
Al-Hidayah is the commentary of Bidayat al-Mubtadi written by the author himself.
The Hidayah represents the refined, distilled and authentic version of a legal tradition developed over many centuries. It presents the corpus of Hanafi law in its approved and preferred form and forges an organic link with the other schools of law. There is no book that can match the power of al-Hidayah as a teaching manual. Education in Islamic law is not complete without this book. Accordingly, each and every madrassah, whatever its affiliation, imparts instruction in Islamic law through al-Hidayah. The book was designed by the author in such a way that it makes a vigorous interaction between teacher and student unavoidable. Each sentence presents a challenge both to the teacher and the taught. In this process, the student acquires a deep knowledge of the issues of fiqh and the methods of reasoning employed by Islamic law. The teacher, on his part, has a unique opportunity, while using the book in the class session, to give full expression to his skills and abilities.
This publication of the Hidayah is the complete translation from Arabic written by al-Marginani, arguably being the most popular and important work in the entire fiqh literature.
The primary reason for its popularity is the reliability of its statements and the soundness of its legal reasoning. Most researchers and scholars first consult al-Hidayah before they move to another source. In the area of Muslim personal law, it has been the major source relied upon by courts in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. The need for this book, since the day it was written, led to the writing of well over forty commentaries and glosses on it, and this does not include the books written to document its traditions. This is rare not only for Islamic law, but for any field of knowledge.
This volumes covers laws relationg to Divorce, Emacipation, Vows/Oaths, Fixed Penalties, Theft and Highway Robbery, Relations with Non-Muslims, Foundling, Found property, Runaway Slaves and a Missing person.

FAMOUS FIQH BOOKS like al-Maqasid have stood the test of time because of their sheer usefulness. Widely considered the best medium-size handbook available in English for teaching the basics of Islam from a traditional perspective, this new edition has been revised and updated with a full complement of notes on a number of contemporary Muslim issues, and three major essays have been appended on why Muslims follow madhhabs, hadiths the mujtahid Imams lacked, and the place of Sufism in Islam.
