In the Company of Pious Women

Company, good or bad is so influencial, so effective that it can actually change and utterly transform a person’s life style, personality, perception, views, character and even behaviour. That’s why in choosing our friends we should be very wary. Rasulullah صلى الله عليه و سلم has advised, ‘That a person is upon the religion of his/her companion. Therefore one should choose his/her companion.’ In this day and age we fail to recognise the significance and impact of company. We are unaware that company can either destroy or reform a person’s life. People go to an extent of given up their religion because of company. Staying aloof from such company is compulsory. Regarding this Rasulullah صلى الله عليه و سلم has advised, ‘Solitude is better than bad company and good company is better than solitude.’ What is the definition of good and bad company and how do we conduct our self in regards to these?
