Two of the Divine Attributes of Allah سبحانه و تعالى often mentioned in the Quran are that of Mercy and Forgiveness. Allah سبحانه و تعالى mentions that man has been created weak and it is natural for him to sin. However, Allah سبحانه و تعالى has left open the door of repentance for those who falter. Allah سبحانه و تعالى loves those who sin and upon realisation immediately repent sincerely and in doing so they may attain closeness to Allah سبحانه و تعالى . The conditions for forgiveness to be accepted are discussed therein.
