If we look back into history, slaves have enjoyed a distinctive position is Islam. They have been treated at par with free men. Their masters have always taken them to be one of their own.

This book 'Slavery in Islam' traces the position of slaves in early Islam and compares it with other religions; in fact, with other people attitude with slaves. The views of Orientalists, philosophers and writers have been cited. Authorities on the subject have been quoted exhaustively.
