The Revival of the Religious Sciences (Ihya Uloom al-Din) is widely regarded as one of the great works of Muslim spirituality, and has, for centuries, been a widely read work in the Muslim world.

This is a translation of one chapter, Kitab al-‘Ilm (The Book of Knowledge) from Ihya Uloom al-Din.Imam Ghazali, the intellectual giant deals thoroughly with the intrinsic value and vast dimensions of knowledge and learning and at the same time deals, in his forthright manner, with the science of religion as well as a forceful refutation of the Greek and roman philosophy drawing inspiration and support from Quran and Hadith.

The level of English translation is very good.
