Aisha رضى الله عنها was the most beloved wife to the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم after the demise of Khadijah رضى الله عنها. Being the daughter of Abu Bakr رضى الله عنه Allah bestowed upon her great insight, intelligence, eloquence and a sharp memory. She became the fourth most prolific narrator of hadeeth. Her knowledge of the Quran and hadeeth was so unique and amazing that companions such as Abu Musa Al-Ashari رضى الله عنه would say, ‘Never would a hadeeth become difficult for us except that we would find some knowledge of that hadeeth withAisha رضى الله عنها.This in itself dispels and eradicates the notion and myth that Islam discourages learning and scholarship for the women of this Ummah.
