The Sage & Scholar of the Ummah - Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masud رضى الله عنه

Abdullah ibn Masud رضى الله عنه is regarded as one of the most learned companions and possessed immense knowledge of the Holy Qur’an. His zeal and enthusiasm for the religion of Allah was staggering. His attachment and love for the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم was such that he observed and learnt from the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم those things which others did not. For this reason, Allah blessed him with piercing insight and understanding of His religion. The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم dearly loved him and expressed his love for him in the following words,’ ‘I am content and satisfied for my ummah with whatever Abdullah ibn Masud is content and satisfied with, and I disapprove for my ummah whatever Abdullah ibn Masud disapproves for my ummah.

His noble character, thirst for knowledge, position with Allah as well as inspiring lessons from his noble life are beautifully explained within this speech.
